AU ONLINE MINE SEISMOLOGY WORKSHOP

Zoom platform, 19 – 21 May 2020

The workshop will be held from 19 – 21 May 2020 via the Zoom platform.

The workshop aims to promote presentation and discussion of recent developments on the topics of mine seismology: mechanisms of seismic events and mechanics of rock-burst damage, processing of seismic monitoring data, rock mass characterization using active and passive seismic data, assessment of seismic and rock-burst hazards. Geotechnical engineers are invited to share their experience with seismic monitoring at particular mines.
The workshop also includes a primer course on the basics of mine seismology and demonstration of IMS software.
