A IMS organizará a 1ª edição do Workshop de Sismologia de minas. No workshop, revisaremos os fundamentos do monitoramento sÃsmico em minas, teremos a oportunidade de trabalhar com nosso software e poderemos assistir a algumas apresentações sobre aplicações da sismologia em minas no Brasil.
O custo da inscrição será de 185 dólares americanos (cerca de 905 reais) e inclui as refeições (almoço e dois coffee breaks).

Online Geophysics Workshop

A free online workshop designed to introduce IMS’ Geophysics services to our mining clients.
This is the first in a series of online workshops, which will cover Mining Applications of Ambient Noise Coda Wave Interferometry.
It is meant for mining and geotechnical professionals working with slope stability assessments, TSF monitoring, ground control, and operational risk management.
The programme covers an introduction to the key concepts of ambient noise coda wave interferometry and its application in slope stability assessments, TSF monitoring and underground stress change monitoring.

Mine Seismology Workshop Istanbul
Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), Faculty of Mines 4 – 5 November 2026
This two-day technical industry workshop is designed for mining and geotechnical professionals working with seismic monitoring, rockburst hazard, ground control, and operational risk management. The programme combines a practical primer course, mine case studies, and current developments in seismic monitoring equipment and data analysis.
Key Focus Areas:
- Practical application of seismic monitoring in underground and high-stress mining environments.
- Seismic and rockburst hazard assessment for mine planning and daily operations.
- Interpretation of seismicity, event mechanisms, source parameters, and seismic response to mining.
- Operational applications, including re-entry protocols after blasting or large seismic events.
- New developments in seismic monitoring systems, sensors, processing workflows, and data analytics.
