The workshop will be held from the 20th until the 21st of April 2023 at the Fiesta Inn in Zacatecas, Mexico.
This workshop is aimed to promote the fundamentals of seismic monitoring in mines, emphasizing its importance and potential applications. We will also talk about a seismic system’s installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Additionally, we will have a few talks on tailings dam monitoring.
The talks will be held in Spanish.

MINE SEISMOLOGY SEMINAR

The seminar will be held from the 28th of May until the 2nd of June 2023 at the Asara Wine Estate, Stellenbosch, South Africa.
The seminar is aimed to promote the presentation and discussion of recent developments on the topics of mine seismology: Intermediate and Short Term Seismic Hazard, Ground Motion Alerts, Re-entry and Applications of Ambient Noise and Distributed Acoustic Sensing, DAS, in Mining.

Geotechnical engineers are invited to share their experience with seismic monitoring at particular mines.
The workshop also includes a primer course on the basics of mine seismology and demonstration of IMS software.
